The railway viaduct Žampach under Jílovým is a technical unique. It is the highest stone bridge built on local railways in Bohemia. It arches over the Kocour Valley at a height of 41.5 m (for comparison, the Nusel Bridge is 42.5 m). Its total length is 110 m. Interesting is the longitudinal axis of the bridge, which is formed by an arch with a radius of 180 m, the individual arches have a clearance of 12 m.
The preparatory and construction work was difficult, carried out without special machinery in inaccessible terrain. The stone (granodiorite - granite in the vernacular) was transported through field grooves from the quarries on the banks of the Sázava River and from the valley floor upwards by a double-track railway. It was built in 1898-1899, and railway traffic on this part of the line started on 1 May 1900. Mostly built by Italian workers used to similar work in the Alps, the bridge bears no signs of damage to this day.
